Launch of NACEP

COMPSA 2023

On July 25 and 26, PEACEMOMO organized an international conference, "Commons: Peace and Security for All," to discuss the interplay between national and international politics to "ensure the safety of all" by calling for security and peace as commons, amidst the escalating crisis of military confrontation in East Asia, and the realization that decision making on national security can no longer be an exception to democracy.

Through the two days of meetings and parliamentary talks, we bridged the gap between everyday politics and international politics to reaffirm and redefine the meaning of peace and security for all. It was also a time to affirm that we must make peace belong to all as an early warning that rings through everyone's voices. We ask you to continue to join us so that the voices of those who want to prevent another war from coming to this world can be heard in their respective places.

NACEP & COMPSA 2023

The Northeast Asia Conflict Prevention and Early Warning Platform (NACEP) is a platform discussed and agreed to be launched by participants of COMPSA 2023, an international conference hosted by Peacemomo in July 2023. Through this platform, we aspire to prevent regional conflicts through civic, participatory early warning in Northeast Asia. We also envision transforming peace and security as a commons of all citizens rather than an exclusive instrument of the state.
